Levana & the others | Ta'em had warned her that the hunting festival could be dangerous. Held after large hunts, usually only once or twice a season, they were known for their rambunctious and often unpredictable natures. Naturally, Levana wanted to go.
"For science!" Dulce had reasoned it, and Levana, Anthony and herself had been invited. Well really Levana had reasoned quietly with Ta'em for Anthony to come - Ta'em didn't seem to be his biggest fan.
The beating of drums were loud, the fire roaring and many members of the tribe had come together to dance in a rhythmic motion, using highly sophisticated dance movements.
"Hmm, they got Beyonce beat," Anthony remarked.
Levana and Dulce exchanged looks as if to say 'Who the hell is that?' before Levana's eyes sought out her mentor. Ta'em wasn't involved in the dance or any other part, just talking to some of the members of the tribe. He seemed involved in a story, one that he was telling. Perhaps of a past hunt he had been in. Adaman was sitting down with Ta'em, listening, enraptured by the tale. Levana cautiously stepped forward, coming to see what the leader was saying.-d
[11/10/2014 12:10:39 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em was talking to a few members of his tribe while the dancing was happening behind him, he was already a little drunk, and he had some smoke as well, levana would be able to tell since he had a small smile on his face as he told his story. "... It went straight though the deers head, No joke, and it kept going, into the neck of the bull behind it, It wasn't happy after that, put up a good fight while it was wounded too" he turned his arm where a long forgotten and scared wound had clearly been. "Old fella gave me this with his last breaths" he chuckled slight. "Don't get two deer with one arrow that often" he said as he felt someone beside him. "Afternoon Sevana" he smiled at her a bit more then when he smiled at the group -d/fail

She sat down, being careful with her legs, to listen as well, but the story was over and Ta'em greeted her. She gave him an intrigued one back. "Hello Ta'em-ra," she said, ignoring some of the shocked looks from the other Quixinar. They hadn't realised how close Levana and Ta'em had gotten. "Having fun?"
Adaman glanced up at his close friend, and chuckled. "Ta'em was just regaling us with a tale of one of his finer moments. Don't have them so much now you're older, do you?"
Levana laughed. "That's a bit harsh!"
Adaman waved her off, and looked at Ta'em. "You should tell them of the time you took down a sarcen."
His audience gasped. Even Levana was impressed. "/You/ took down the deadliest predator?" one female exclaimed, amazed.-d
[11/10/2014 12:25:41 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em smiled at Levana when she called him 'Ta'em'ra', he saw the shooks on others faces when she did, he didn't care though, he was about to answer her, but once more Adaman took the words for himself, he rolled his eyes and nudged Adaman when he said about the time he took down a Sarcen. "Hush.. You know that was an accident" he said in a harsh whisper. "It.. it was nothing really.." he said, looking away, almost embarresed about the story.. Adaman had blown it out of proportion when they got back to the tribe.. But the truth of the matter was, he kinda.. pushed it off a cliff and the way he did wasn't that brave either, He just flicked water at it, no matter how big a creature is, it always flinches, the moment he did.. he just well.. pushed, Nothing he did was on purpose, it was just to survive the encounter. -d

"Most deadly, except for humans," said another, not remembering they were in the presence of one. Levana held her tongue and looked at Ta'em, but she saw something in his face. Something that told her he didn't want to remember.
So she looked over to the dance. "Anyone want to teach me the moves to this?" she asked, and one of the males piqued up, eager to take her on her offer. With her fuller breasts and rear, the Quixinar seemed to find her highly appealing.
Adaman laughed. "We should all go!" he said, tempting everyone to get up. But it was Levana who reached out to Ta'em to grasp his hand, pulling him with a, "Come on, you!"-d
[11/10/2014 12:34:43 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em groaned softly as other members of his tribe spoke up, he didn't want to remember.. since it was own stupid mistake that for him into that mess int he first place.. man landing right infront of Sarcen mother between her cubs.. worst place to be, he had no matter how far he ran, she wouldn't stop chasing him, Hiding did nothing for it, just kept going harder.. he had to.. Levana's hand snapped him out of it, taking a sharp breath and opening his eyes to Levana as she pulled him to the dance. The dancers had rushed into a circle, their long, limber fingers entwining as they came in, and then pulled out again as the circle widened. It was like a strange sweetheart dance.
Adaman went to pull Dulce in, and was dancing with her whilst Levana was with Ta'em. "You'll have to teach me this one!" she said to him over the volume of the beating drums. It was like being in an open-air club.-d

Ta'em smiled a little more as he started to dance with Levana, watching her, looking over her even, though he tryed to hide the fact that he was. -d
[11/10/2014 12:54:34 AM] Keelee Hadland: Levana & the others | Levana tried to copy his movements, but while his were fluid and languid, she felt hers were more clumsy. Dulce seemed to be having some trouble herself, but eventually she and Adaman fell into step with one another. Anthony was trying to learn from two females, but he kept tripping over their tails and making them laugh. There was no trouble here, tonight.
Kyoki, for once, was on the scene, being almost an adult. She was laughing at her father and Levana, not for how they were dancing, but because Levana had succeeded on pulling Ta'em to the dancefloor.
The song was quick paced, and even with rigorous training from Ta'em, Levana was glad when it was over. Adaman came over to the two of them, and wrapped an arm around Levana asking in English, "Having fun?"
Levana, breathless, laughed. "Sure am."
"Do you remember the dance you taught me back at camp? We should show Ta'em and the others that." Adaman switched back to Quixinian. "Watch this!" he said to Ta'em, pulling Levana away, who laughed.
Kyoki watched the two healers as they took each other's hands, Adaman putting one hand on Levana's waist and she putting a hand on his shoulder. The tribe watched as the music started for a new tune, and Adaman and Levana began to dance in swirls and dips. The human ballroom dance.
Kyoki came over to her father and said to him, as she saw other excited members wanting to join into the new fangled dancing, "You should give that a go! Father and daughter dance?"-d
[11/10/2014 1:00:14 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'm actually laughed as he and Levana danced, watching aorund him as the other humans tried to copy their partners, but he guessed it was hard for them since they didn't have good balance to begin with. The leader smiled and kept Levana close to him as he danced with her, making sure he didn't step on her feet.. or hers on his. Ta'em looked over his shoulder for a moment to see Kyoki laughing at them. "Why didn't Devon come?" he asked just as Adaman arrived. "What dance?" he asked as he wisked Levana away in a matter of seconds. "Well okay then" he chuckled softly, watching the pair as they danced something that was human clearly, Ta'em turned to his daughter and smiled, moving to front her, he did a bow like he saw many people do to his father. "Care to dance, Kyoki'ra?" he chuckled at his formality, wondering how she would react to that before he took her hand and pulled her to the dance, watching Adaman and Levana for a moment to gather what was needed before he started to copy their movements with Kyoki, It didn't seem that hard really. -d

"I would be honoured... da," she said, wanting to copying the 'ra' but realising that wasn't possible. She giggled before she was taken to the dance floor.
Levana laughed at the two of them, but they were managing well, and she barely had time to react before Adaman dipped her. She gasped and nudged him. "Could have given me warning!" she exclaimed, but he merely winked and said, "Pay attention then!"
The other Quixinar moved even more fluidly than Levana did, embarrassing her, but she knew they would - they just moved as effortlessly as water did running over rocks.
Dulce had taken to dancing with Anthony now, seeing as he had to be reminded of tails all the time, and she called to Levana, "We should take proper charge of this, girl."
Levana arched an eyebrow as Adaman twirled her around.
"Should totally do our routine!"
Adaman laughed. "I'm intrigued to know what that is!" he said, especially as Levana said, "No!"-d
[11/10/2014 1:12:24 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em smiled as Kyoki and himself were doing the same thing as Levana and Adaman, well enough that he could take his eyes off them and looked at his daughter, as soon as he did.. he wondered about her life in the future, he wanted her to be happy, happier then he was, he smiled and pressed his lips to the top of her head softly, he hadn't done that in ages, for the life of him he couldn't remember why. "Do you like Werik?" he asked her, his ears picking up sounds of Adaman and Levana talking, but he was doing something he hadn't done in a few days, giving his daughter his full attention. -d

Since Truman had been born, with Levana taking most of Ta'em's time and Mera pushing her towards the Religious rights, she hadn't had much of a chance to be one-on-one with her dad, just like the old times. Though, for some reason, generally she wasn't minding it so much. She felt so... weird, so outcast, so smarmy when she was around him these days, but right now, it just left. It was like she was ten years old once more, just enjoying her time with her da. And she didn't really want it to end... But she knew it had to at that question. "Did you like ma when you married?" she asked softly, knowing it would give him all the information he needed.-d

"No.." he sighed softly, keeping his hand on her waist, he unclasped her hand and moved to stroke her hair softly as they moved fluidly along the floor, hell, he didn't even know if the music was still going. "I want to change it, but it's tradition sweetheart.. Even though i don't say it often.. My daughter, know that i would do anything for your happiness" he said that softly and ran his pads along her silk fine hair gently. -d

She sighed softly, and touched his hand, taking it off her head and holding it, so he knew she was being serious when she said the next part. "And ma came from a tribe where women were subordinates. Didn't you and Taron change that?" she asked. Tradition didn't always stay.
But the music had now definitely changed, and Adaman had convinced Levana and Dulce to do their 'routine'. Levana was shooting Adaman death looks, especially as he said, "Now then, our human friends have decided to entertain us with a beautiful dance - "
Levana scoffed under her breath to Dulce, " 'Beautiful' is a way to put it. I'm going to kill you dead." Dulce just laughed.
"- so I suggest we watch them!" Adaman finished, earning whooping and cheering from the tribe.
"I'm going to need a lot of booze to handle this shit," Levana hissed to Dulce, who was still laughing so hard.-d
[11/10/2014 1:29:30 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em and Kyoki had stoped moving as they spoke, when she took his hand from her hair and held it, she was serious now.. that didn't take long. "We only changed it here.. others won't take our change.., That's why i'm afraid of Werik.." he sighed softly, he looked away from his daughter for a moment, letting a look of worry shroud his face before he looked back at his lovely daughter. "I worry for you" he told her gently and kissed her forehead lightly, He looked up to see that Adaman was basically puting their human guests on show for the rest of the tribe, he smiled softly and looked back at his daughter, making sure she was looking at him. "I love you my little leader" he gave her a smile that was only in reserve for her and Levana. -d

Ta'em could command a room with his strength and power; Adaman could command a room with his charm. But her father pulled her back, and she smiled. She felt a little more reassured. "I love you too, da," she told him squeezing his hand before turning back to the humans. She chuckled. "Sevana looks worried!"
Oh yeah, she was worried. Dancing was not her thing. Well she didn't think it was her thing. Then again, the Quixinars never would have seen this, so they wouldn't know if she screwed up. And they hadn't heard the music. "Oh yeah! We don't have music, sorry! Shows over!"
"Oh, ah ah ah! Yes you do!" Anthony exclaimed, breaking a somewhat rule and taking out a human device. Everyone was so far gone, who would give a shit? And besides, they were more intrigued rather than scared, especially as a heavy and fast paced beat came across the room. The Quixinars gasped, never hearing such an intriguing song. Levana shot Anthony a 'I will cut your balls off as you sleep' look.
Kyoki was in hysterics. "Come on Sevana, you can do it!"-d

"Yes, i do believe she does" he chuckled softly, enjoying this as much as Kyoki was, he used his hand in hers to spin her around, letting his chest press against his daughters back, using her to lean on, his head ontop of hers, it was easy since she was shorter then he was. "This should be entertaining" he chuckled and smiled at Levana. "Come on Sev!" he called out. -d

And as the music dropped some heavier beats, Levana and Dulce moved their hips, rotating in a circular motion, similar to what they would have done at the clubs back on Earth. Adaman and the others gasped and eagerly clapped, the girls moving rhythmically, their hips sashaying, their legs moving quickly.
Kyoki was impressed, and she whooped with the others. "That looks like fun!"-d

Adaman laughed, shaking his head at them. "You move well, for humans!" he conceded. He looked over to Kyoki, who was watching intently. "You aren't allowed."
Kyoki groaned, moving out of Ta'em's grip to stare at her uncle. "For once, I think I'd embarrass myself if I tried that - they move better than I do with that!"-d

Kyoki stretched beside her father and said, "I'm going to go check on Truman and the other children."
Adaman glanced at the sky, and made a face. "I ought to do the same - they may have woken with all the noise." He gestured for his niece to walk ahead, and the two of them went to check on the youngest members, those who were excluded from the ceremony as it was no place for them.
Levana glanced over to the leader, and seeing he was alone, she walked over. "How are you going?" she asked him.-d

[11/10/2014 1:12:24 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em smiled as Kyoki and himself were doing the same thing as Levana and Adaman, well enough that he could take his eyes off them and looked at his daughter, as soon as he did.. he wondered about her life in the future, he wanted her to be happy, happier then he was, he smiled and pressed his lips to the top of her head softly, he hadn't done that in ages, for the life of him he couldn't remember why. "Do you like Werik?" he asked her, his ears picking up sounds of Adaman and Levana talking, but he was doing something he hadn't done in a few days, giving his daughter his full attention. -d

Since Truman had been born, with Levana taking most of Ta'em's time and Mera pushing her towards the Religious rights, she hadn't had much of a chance to be one-on-one with her dad, just like the old times. Though, for some reason, generally she wasn't minding it so much. She felt so... weird, so outcast, so smarmy when she was around him these days, but right now, it just left. It was like she was ten years old once more, just enjoying her time with her da. And she didn't really want it to end... But she knew it had to at that question. "Did you like ma when you married?" she asked softly, knowing it would give him all the information he needed.-d

"No.." he sighed softly, keeping his hand on her waist, he unclasped her hand and moved to stroke her hair softly as they moved fluidly along the floor, hell, he didn't even know if the music was still going. "I want to change it, but it's tradition sweetheart.. Even though i don't say it often.. My daughter, know that i would do anything for your happiness" he said that softly and ran his pads along her silk fine hair gently. -d

She sighed softly, and touched his hand, taking it off her head and holding it, so he knew she was being serious when she said the next part. "And ma came from a tribe where women were subordinates. Didn't you and Taron change that?" she asked. Tradition didn't always stay.
But the music had now definitely changed, and Adaman had convinced Levana and Dulce to do their 'routine'. Levana was shooting Adaman death looks, especially as he said, "Now then, our human friends have decided to entertain us with a beautiful dance - "
Levana scoffed under her breath to Dulce, " 'Beautiful' is a way to put it. I'm going to kill you dead." Dulce just laughed.
"- so I suggest we watch them!" Adaman finished, earning whooping and cheering from the tribe.
"I'm going to need a lot of booze to handle this shit," Levana hissed to Dulce, who was still laughing so hard.-d
[11/10/2014 1:29:30 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em and Kyoki had stoped moving as they spoke, when she took his hand from her hair and held it, she was serious now.. that didn't take long. "We only changed it here.. others won't take our change.., That's why i'm afraid of Werik.." he sighed softly, he looked away from his daughter for a moment, letting a look of worry shroud his face before he looked back at his lovely daughter. "I worry for you" he told her gently and kissed her forehead lightly, He looked up to see that Adaman was basically puting their human guests on show for the rest of the tribe, he smiled softly and looked back at his daughter, making sure she was looking at him. "I love you my little leader" he gave her a smile that was only in reserve for her and Levana. -d
[11/10/2014 1:34:11 AM] Keelee Hadland: Levana & the others | Kyoki was distracted momentarily by Adaman's charismatic tone. Ta'em could command a room with his strength and power; Adaman could command a room with his charm. But her father pulled her back, and she smiled. She felt a little more reassured. "I love you too, da," she told him squeezing his hand before turning back to the humans. She chuckled. "Sevana looks worried!"
Oh yeah, she was worried. Dancing was not her thing. Well she didn't think it was her thing. Then again, the Quixinars never would have seen this, so they wouldn't know if she screwed up. And they hadn't heard the music. "Oh yeah! We don't have music, sorry! Shows over!"
"Oh, ah ah ah! Yes you do!" Anthony exclaimed, breaking a somewhat rule and taking out a human device. Everyone was so far gone, who would give a shit? And besides, they were more intrigued rather than scared, especially as a heavy and fast paced beat came across the room. The Quixinars gasped, never hearing such an intriguing song. Levana shot Anthony a 'I will cut your balls off as you sleep' look.
Kyoki was in hysterics. "Come on Sevana, you can do it!"-d
[11/10/2014 1:37:32 AM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| The leader smiled when his daughter told him that she loved him too, that's only when he looked up and saw what was going on. "Yes, i do believe she does" he chuckled softly, enjoying this as much as Kyoki was, he used his hand in hers to spin her around, letting his chest press against his daughters back, using her to lean on, his head ontop of hers, it was easy since she was shorter then he was. "This should be entertaining" he chuckled and smiled at Levana. "Come on Sev!" he called out. -d
[11/10/2014 1:44:50 AM] Keelee Hadland: Levana & the others | Levana creaked her neck and looked at Dulce as the music really started to go. "Ready? One, two, three..."
And as the music dropped some heavier beats, Levana and Dulce moved their hips, rotating in a circular motion, similar to what they would have done at the clubs back on Earth. Adaman and the others gasped and eagerly clapped, the girls moving rhythmically, their hips sashaying, their legs moving quickly.
Kyoki was impressed, and she whooped with the others. "That looks like fun!"-d

Adaman laughed, shaking his head at them. "You move well, for humans!" he conceded. He looked over to Kyoki, who was watching intently. "You aren't allowed."
Kyoki groaned, moving out of Ta'em's grip to stare at her uncle. "For once, I think I'd embarrass myself if I tried that - they move better than I do with that!"-d
[11/10/2014 9:57:37 PM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em watched as Dulce and Levana danced closer to each other, both of them moving together in a sensual dance.. at least it felt sensual watching it, for a second he forgot his daughter was ifnront of him, he cleared his throat when she moved out of his grip to stare at her uncle. "I don't think i'd want to see that anyway.." he mumbled to himself as he watched the females join Levana and Dulce -d.fail

She sat down, waving Dulce off as she called her a cheater - she was down for the count. "You keep going, I need a drink and a break!" Levana laughed, going to get a bowl of whatever the others were taking.
Kyoki stretched beside her father and said, "I'm going to go check on Truman and the other children."
Adaman glanced at the sky, and made a face. "I ought to do the same - they may have woken with all the noise." He gestured for his niece to walk ahead, and the two of them went to check on the youngest members, those who were excluded from the ceremony as it was no place for them.
Levana glanced over to the leader, and seeing he was alone, she walked over. "How are you going?" she asked him.-d
[11/10/2014 10:16:25 PM] Andrew Daley: Ta'em| Ta'em was watching Levana as she danced.. but then she pulled away, he just smiled at her when she looked at him before she called out what she was doing, he looked at kyoki when she spoke to him and smiled, blinking at him when she said she was going to check on the children as well.
"I hope he hasn't" he chuckled softly before Levana came up to him, he thought for a moment and nodded. "Sure" he smiled at her as he went to check on the kids with Lev. -d/fail again
